Random words flow out.. Stupid Post
Once upon a time, a little boy named Jerry lived in a big city. Jerry grew up in a tiny house. He went to school and had many friends. But there were none whom he could count on. And at home his parents were always parents. Never friends. He spent several years of his life unable to sleep peacefully. He was lonely.
For a few years towards the end of his school, he went to a different school. He made many friends there. They were nicer. He liked them. And they spoke to him. They became his world. He tried to stay with them as much as possible. It wasn't good at home so he stayed out a lot. He cared about his friends a lot and tried to be there for them whenever they needed him. They didn't even have to ask him. He was just always there, quietly trying to help everyone. But he had so many problems of his own. So many things he wanted to share. And there was no one he could share it with. He wanted to but just couldn't. He didn't feel anyone was interested in listening to him talk about himself and his problems. With great difficulty he tried to say a few times. But each time he tried to talk about his problems, his friends responded in a way that he finally decided never to speak about himself.
One day, one of his friends had a fight with his girlfriend. He was crying when he called Jerry and said that he was very upset. Jerry tried to calm him down. He then asked if Jerry could come over. Jerry left everything he was doing. He took the metro to his friends house. From the metro station he had to walk for 15 mins in the heat. He did it. And guess what. When he reached his house, the friend says "I spoke to someone. I'm fine now. I don't need to talk to you.". Jerry was like "I came all the way man. Just coz you said you wanted me to. Atleast tell me whats up." But then he never said all this. He just kept quiet and tried to cheer him up anyway by being funny and talking about other things.
Jerry keeps doing things like these. He tries to be there for people when they want to talk to him. Never has he turned anyone down when they've asked him. And whenever he has been able to know that a friend needs him, he's gone up himself to do the task. I mean, everyone needs to confide in someone or the other. And its just about feeling comfortable to talk to someone which Jerry is good at making people feel. He makes them feel that he cares. He makes them feel that he is listening. He understands when a "No" actually means a "Yes". He knows when someone says "I don't wanna talk about it" and they actually mean "Please, can you make me feel like talking about it."
But then, for how long can a flower bloom without water and sunlight. If you want it to bloom you'll have to love it. Without love and care and affection it just dies down. And this is exactly what happened to Jerry. He became insensitive to others. It was not his true self. But he tried really hard to be this way, just so that he wouldn't let anyone hurt him. But then again, for how long can a flower not bloom if it starts getting water and sunlight again. And this is exactly what happened to Jerry. He was blooming again. There were some who gave him what he had lost.
Today, the water has gone and so has the sunlight. And he finds himself slowly dying. When he tried to ask for help, they turned him down. I mean after doing the little bit that he has done for some, it is his right to ask for something in return. Which means he is expecting something from people. And he just realised that that is the mistake he is making. Don't expect anything from anyone. If you're going to be yourself and giving your shoulder to your friends when they need it, do it. But don't hope for anything back.
Sometimes he knows that his friends are going to turn him down. But still he asks them. Just to be sure that his instinct was right. He has started feeling some kind of pleasure in it. He feels like the punching doll. Who stupidly smiles even when people hit him. He suffers a blow, falls down to the ground, and gets back on its feet for the next blow. And smiles all the time.
I feel this has been a stupid post. But writing it has helped me vent out some things. So whoever reads it and finds it stupid, I appologise. I had too many things on my mind to write. And at the end of it, I didn't write most of them. Hopefully, I can write some sense sometime. :-)
